There are three basic types of dust collector: shaker, reverse air and pulse jet. The heart of the collector is the filter bag. But the cleaning system can be as important as the bags as it ensures the bags clean down sufficiently to vent the process and allow the bags to filter more dust on subsequent filtration cycles. Poorly fitting or, in the case of shaker and reverse air systems, poorly tensioned filter bags do not clean down properly leading to a loss of air flow through the equipment and inefficient venting of the process. You need to hold stock of critical items for the cleaning system as well as the filter bags. Your essential stock might include items such as tensioning springs, diaphragm repair kits, solenoid valves and clamps as well as filter elements. |
